Representational Drawing

This project aims to capture the essence of a site and an activity and recreate an imaginary world that can be identified as representing the elements.

A serendipitous relational scenario that couples one site with one activity was investigated. The selected sites and actions appeared deceptively restrictive and required to operate through scalar concretization and projective approximation. Specifying the operative bond between the site and activity proved instrumental in resolving the design proposal.

In a team of four, we designed an intervention as a deployable operational strategy that mitigates, facilitates, renders functional, problematizes, substantiates, instrumentalizes, signifies, or exploits the relationship between the site and the activity. It was an opportunity to consider the intervention with high specificity and graphical substantiation.
